Determining Genetic Variability and Taxonomy of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis through rbcL Molecular Marker

نویسندگان

چکیده

Medicinal plants have been used in traditional medicine for a long time. These contain phytochemicals that variety of medicinal properties. However, accurate identification and authentication plant species ensured their safety efficacy. DNA barcoding using molecular markers has proven to be useful method identification. The rbcL marker was detailed characterization, amplification, phylogenetic studies Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic properties potential applications Methods: Samples H. rosa-sinensis were collected, isolated by Doyle method. presence confirmed gel electrophoresis, specific primers PCR amplification. results sequenced next-generation sequencing techniques. After that, neighbor-joining technique analysis obtain pairwise nucleotide distances. Gel electrophoresis samples, amplification generates successful results. Results: obtained sequence 99.7% identical previously reported gene from Based on research, discovered as closely related species. Conclusions: found viable analysis. this study demonstrated importance herbal medicine. proved reliable quality control technology business.

Post-Coital Antifertility Activity of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn. roots

Ancient literature mentions the use of a number of plants/preparations for fertility regulation. Some local contraceptive agents have also been described in Ayurvedic and Unani texts. Documented experiments or clinical data are, however, lacking. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to explore the antifertility and estrogenic activity of ethanolic extract of the roots of Hibiscus rosa-si...

Hypolipidemic activity of Hibiscus rosa sinensis root in rats.

The hypolipidemic activity of Hibiscus rosa sinensis (family Malvaceae) root extract was studied on triton and cholesterol-rich high fat diet (HFD) induced models of hyperlipidemia in rats. In triton WR-1339-induced hyperlipidemia, feeding with root extract (500 mg/kg body wt/day p.o.) exerted lipid-lowering effect, as assessed by reversal of plasma levels of total cholesterol (TC), phospholipi...

Fullerene-Based Symmetry in Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Pollen

The fullerene molecule belongs to the so-called super materials. The compound is interesting due to its spherical configuration where atoms occupy positions forming a mechanically stable structure. We first demonstrate that pollen of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis has a strong symmetry regarding the distribution of its spines over the spherical grain. These spines form spherical hexagons and pentagons....
